The Options for Sailors up to now have been limited.

For those that can, affording a Yacht to buy, is not the end of it.

The cost of ownership extends to the cost of moorings, insurance, maintenance, loss of capital both of depreciation and the fact that money tied up in your Yacht cannot be used or spent elsewhere.

Time is a precious commodity that is not available to buy. Time available to sailors is best spent Sailing, not maintaining!

For those that haven't bought, the alternative has traditionally been to Charter. Whilst it undoubtedly suits many, there is no feeling of "Ownership". Whilst some like to sail different boats, many prefer to sail the same boat as sailors learn how their boat "feels". Charter fleets always seem to offer the same "charter friendly" yachts, which are all about maximising berths. However, many owners opt for a different "Owner friendly" yacht where the emphasis is on space, room and user enjoyment. Frequent Chartering does become prohibitively expensive.

Subscription Sailing is able to offer a bridge between the benefits of Ownership Charter and Fractional Sailing - bringing together the best of all worlds, but also eradicating some of the inherent worst features of them all, in one simple package that will appeal to many Sailors.

Subscription Sailing is available to anyone that has obtained RYA Day Skipper (Tidal) practical qualification or has equivalent suitable practical experience as a minimum standard.
